Overview of City Union Bank

City Union Bank ('The Kumbakonam Bank Limited' as it was then called) was incorporated as a limited company on 31st October, 1904. The bank in the beginning preferred the role of a regional bank and slowly but steadily built for itself a place in the Delta District Thanjavur. The first Branch of the Bank was opened at Mannargudi on 24th January 1930. The bank has introduced computerisation in the year 1990 and all the Branches have been computerised. Currently, City Union Bank has a strong network of 525 computerized branches and 1292 ATMs which is spread across India. All the branches have been brought under Core Banking Solution [CBS] as on date.

Types of City Union Bank Debit Cards

CSB RuPay ATM Debit Card has been issued under the RuPay platform. It has lower transaction costs as compared to other debit cards. There is no restriction on number of non-financial transactions that could be performed in a CSB ATM.

City Union Bank Rupay PMJDY Card has been specially designed to suit the needs of economically weaker segment of Indian citizens under the RuPay platform & Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY). It has lower transaction costs as compared to other debit cards.

CUB Rupay Classic Debit Card has been designed for all SB accounts, CD/CC account holders which are in the name of individuals or Proprietary concerns. It has a Rupay platform which has comparatively less transaction cost. It is faster in processing.

CUB Master Classic Debit Card has been designed for all SB accounts, CD/CC account holders which are in the name of individuals or Proprietary concerns. It has a Rupay platform which has comparatively less transaction cost. It is faster in processing.

CUB Gold Visa Debit Card is an upgraded version of a basic debit card. It offers additional facilities in addition to all the standard features of a debit card. It is issued on a VISA platform. It can be used for online purchases, withdraw cash or purchases at shopping locations.
