Documents Required for Canara Bank FASTag

Following documents are required to avail a Canara FASTag:

  1. RC Copy of the vehicle
  2. Identity Proof
  3. Address Proof
  4. Photo of the vehicle owner

Individual customers need to submit following documents along with the KYC documents to get Canara FASTag:

  • Valid driving license (DL)
  • PAN card

Corporate customers need to submit following documents to get Canara FASTag:

  • Partnership Deed/Certificate of Incorporation/Registration Certificate of the firm
  • List of directors/ partners with name and addresses
  • Photo ID of signing authority
  • PAN card of the corporate address proof of the proprietor/partnership/public or private limited companies

Note: You need to carry all the originals for verification purposes

How to Recharge Canara FASTag through Auto Debit?

You need to follow the simple steps as given below in order to recharge your Canara FASTag account using Auto Debit:

  1. You can give a standing instruction to Canara Bank branch to auto debit the money directly from your bank account and credit it to your FASTag wallet
  2. You should give your bank account details and the threshold amount to your bank for doing the needful

  2. Login to your account using your login credentials
  3. Select the FASTag which you want to recharge
  4. Enter amount

How to Recharge of Canara FASTag?

You can get FASTag recharged through cash/cheque. This facility is available in selected point of sales (POS) locations at Toll Plazas and Canara Bank branches. Outlined below is the step-by-step process of offline recharge of Canara FASTag:

  1. You need to visit any of the Canara Bank branches or Point of Sales (POS) locations
  2. First of all you need to get your Canara FASTag account created
  3. You can deposit cash or cheque of the amount which you want for recharging Canara FASTag
  4. Then your Canara FASTag linked wallet will be recharged with the same amount

Risks Associated with Canara FASTag

There are some scenarios given below:

a) If Vehicle is Lost or Stolen:

  1. The Canara FASTag holders should immediately lodge an FIR in the local police station
  2. Contact the bank branch and notify them about loss of FASTag and produce the relevant documents to the bank
  3. The tag holder should immediately notify the Customer Care Centre regarding the loss of the tag
  4. The Customer Care Centre will ask for certain information about the tag holder and then block the tag

Note: The Customer should always keep a separate note of his/her Canara FASTag number, necessary information and the associated account number in a place readily accessible after purchase of the Canara FASTag.

b) Canara FASTag is non-transferable:

The Canara FASTag is non-transferable. The Canara FASTag is the property of the bank and will be returned by the Cardholder unconditionally and immediately to the bank upon request by the bank.
