Eligibility for Kisan Credit Card Scheme

Below are the eligibility to get Kisan Credi Card

  1. All Farmers: Individuals / Joint borrowers who are owner cultivators
  2. Tenant Farmers, Oral Lessees & Share Croppers
  3. Self Help Groups (SHGs) or Joint Liability Groups of Farmers including Tenant Farmers, Share Croppers etc.
  4. Minimum Age:18 years
  5. Maximum Age: 75 years at the end of loan tenure

Documents required to get Kisan Credit Card (KCC)

  1. Duly filled in application form of Kisan Credit Card (KCC)
  2. Passport size photographs of the applicant
  3. Proof of Identity (anyone): Voter ID card/ PAN card/ Passport/ Aadhaar card/ Driving License etc.
  4. Address proof(anyone): Voter ID card/ Passport/ Aadhaar card/ Driving license etc.
  5. Land documents (optional), submit only if required for by the bank

  6. One time documentation at the time of first availing the credit and thereafter simple declaration (about crops raised/ proposed) by farmer (if required by the bank)
  7. Proof of Land Tax receipt, possession certificate etc. (if required by the bank)
  8. Documents pertaining to collateral and primary security (if required by the bank)
  9. Proof of Income (if required by the bank)

Validity of Kisan Credit Card (KCC)

  1. The validity period of Kisan Credit Card is 5 years. The banks can extend for up to three more years.
  2. Banks may determine the validity period of KCC through its periodic review which is generally an annual review.
  3. The review by the bank may result in continuation of the facility, enhancement of limit or cancellation of the limit/ withdrawal of the facility depending upon increase in cropping area/ pattern and performance of the borrower.
  4. When the bank has granted extension and/or re-schedule of the period of repayment on account of natural calamities affecting the farmer, the period for reckoning the status of operations as satisfactory or otherwise, would get extended together with the extended amount of limit.
  5. When the proposed extension is beyond one crop season, the aggregate of debits for which extension is granted, is to be transferred to a separate term loan account with stipulation for repayment in instalments.
