If you are a single account holder, you can proceed with self-registration process of net banking facility using your SBI ATM card. For joint account holders, they need to contact the SBI to complete the registration process. Outlined below is the step by step process to register for SBI Net banking:

  • Visit SBI's online portal
  • Under the 'Personal Banking' section, click on 'New User Registration'
  • Press 'OK' button
  • A pop up window will open
  • Under 'Register Here/Activate (For Retail customers only)', select 'New User Registration' from the dropdown menu
  • Click on 'Next' button
  • You need to enter details such as the account number, CIF number, branch code, country, registered mobile number, facility required, and captcha
  • Under the 'Facility Required' field, there are 3 options i.e. View, limited transactions, and full transactions, you need to select one of the these options
  • Press 'Submit' button
  • An 'OTP' will be sent on your registered mobile number
  • Enter the 'OTP'
  • Click on 'Confirm'
  • Select 'I have my ATM card (online registration without branch visit)'
  • Press 'Submit' button
  • Complete the registration process by entering the ATM card credentials
  • Click on 'Proceed'
  • A new page will open which will display your temporary username and then you will be asked to create login password
  • Re-enter the login password
  • Click on 'Submit'
  • After that the registration is successful

  • Choose the type of transaction you want to make
  • Click on 'Proceed' button
  • A list of all your accounts will be shown. From the list, select the account you want to make the fund transfer from
  • Enter the amount you want to transfer
  • Enter remarks, if any
  • Select the beneficiary account to which you want to make the fund transfer
  • Choose when the fund transfer is to take place
  • Agree to the terms and conditions by selecting the checkbox
  • Click on 'Submit' button
  • Check whether all the details are correct
  • Click on 'Confirm' button
  • A high-security password will be sent on the registered mobile number
  • Enter the password in the given space
  • Click on 'Confirm' button
  • A success message will appear on the screen after completion of the fund transfer transaction

Reset SBI Netbanking Password

If you have forgot your password, then you can reset your password by following the below-mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website of SBI's Online Web Portal
  • under 'Personal Banking' section, click on 'Login' button
  • Click on the 'Continue to Login' button
  • Click 'Forgot Login Password' button
  • Select the 'Forgot My Login Password' option
  • Click on 'Next' button
  • Enter the details i.e. user name, account number, date of birth, mobile number, country, and captcha code in the specified place
  • Click on 'Submit' button
  • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Enter this OTP in the given space
  • Click on 'Submit' button
  • A new page will open where you can reset your password
  • Now set up a new password
  • Re-enter the password to confirm
  • A new password will be set up successfully
  • Now you can sign into your account using your Customer ID and new password
