What is not Covered under your Two Wheeler Insurance Policy (Policy Exclusions)?

When you buy a bike insurance policy, it is not necessary that it gives you financial protection towards all the items. It surely offers you cover for many number of items, still there are some items which are not covered even under Comprehensive Insurance. Such items which are not covered under the bike insurance are called Policy Exclusions.

Following items are not covered under your two wheeler insurance policy

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Loss due to general ageing of the vehicle
  • Depreciation
  • Mechanical/electrical breakdown
  • Damage due to war, mutiny or nuclear risk
  • Vehicles being used otherwise than in accordance with limitations as to use
  • Wear and tear of consumables like tyres and tubes
  • Damage to/by a person driving any vehicles without a valid license
  • Damage to/by a person driving the vehicle under the influence of drugs or liquor
