How to Apply for PAN Card for Minor Offline?

Given below is step-by-step process of applying for PAN Card for Minor Offline:

1. Collect a copy of Form 49A from the NSDL or UTIITSL authorised centre. Alternately, you can download a copy of the form from the NSDL or UTIITSL website
2. Fill up the PAN application form specified by the income tax department (i.e., form 49A for resident individuals)
3. Attach supporting documents for proof of identity, address, and date of birth
4. Tick the option for a Minor PAN card as provided in the form
5. Submit the required documents, the application fee along with the application form to the nearest TIN facilitation centre
6. You will receive an PAN acknowledgement
7. Physical PAN card will be sent by post to the address provided in the form after processing of the application

It is to be noted that the minor's parent must sign in the application form on behalf of the minor.
