Given below is the step-by-step process of cancellation of PAN card online:>
- Log on to the official website of the Income Tax Department of India
- Fill up an online form
- You need to fill up "PAN Change Request" form
- You need to mention the PAN Card (that you are using) on top of the form and the additional card (which needs to get cancelled) to be mentioned in item
- You need to submit the PAN Card which you want to cancel along with the cancellation form
How to Cancel PAN Card Offline?
Given below is the step-by-step process of cancellation of PAN card offline:
- You need to give a written application for applying for PAN cancellation to any of the PAN centres
- You need to submit this application along with all the details about the PAN Card (that you are using) on top of the form and the additional card (which needs to get cancelled)
- Submit this application to the concerned assessing officer of the income tax department of your jurisdiction
It is to be noted that you should keep a copy of the acknowledgement letter of your application of PAN card surrender issued by the income tax department as a proof that the additional PAN has been submitted for cancellation.
