PNB sends messages (notification or alert SMS) to customers for any transaction done in their accounts. These SMS alerts be of following types:

SMS Alerts on registered mobile number for all the transactions done through any of the following means:

Minimum Amount for PNB SMS Alerts

  • Alerts for over the counter transactions for amount Rs. 5000 & above in PNB Accounts, are sent by PNB
  • In case of Pension Accounts, SMS alerts for transactions of Rs. 1000 & above, are sent by PNB

How to Register for PNB SMS Alerts Services?

You need to ensure that your mobile number is registered before using SMS alert service offered by PNB. If your mobile number is not registered with bank for SMS alert service, you need to get the same registered through branch visit.

Charges For SMS Alerts by PNB

  1. Saving Account Rs.15 per quarter
  2. Other than Saving Accounts Rs.25 per quarter
  3. Charges are exempted for following types of accounts with PNB:
    • Basic Saving Deposit Account
    • Accounts under PMJDY
    • Senior Citizen Accounts
    • Students Accounts
    • Mitra Accounts
    • Staff & Ex-staff Accounts
