What Documents are Required to Open a Joint Account?
Listed below are the documents required to open a joint account.
- First of all, the account opening form (AOF) needs to be submitted. This should be signed by all the account holders.
- Providing personal information of joint holders on this form including names, communication address and mobile numbers.
- Two recently taken Passport Sized Colour Photographs of all the holders.
- Copies of each account holder's identification documents such as their PAN cards, passports and driving licenses are to be given.

- Account opening form (AOF) needs to be submitted with the minor as the first account holder and you as the parent/ guardian.
- You also need to submit your recent passport size colour photographs along with this form. Some banks ask for the minor's photograph too.
- Child's birth certificate as age proof, this is also required to establish your relationship with the minor
- KYC of the parent/ guardian: Copies of your identity proof & address proof.
