EPFO or Employees' Provident Fund Organization of India comes under the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Indian Government.
There are various types of EPF claims that one can make for various claim categories. When applying for a particular EPF withdrawal, it is important that we apply through the correct claim form in order avoid wastage of time and the resulting hassles in getting the funds disbursed. It may also be noted that PF withdrawal comes with several implications, a very important among them being the TDS applicable on PF withdrawals.
Read further to know the types of EPF claim forms and the PF forms that you can use for EPF withdrawal. Before we start with the form types, one may also note that EPF balance withdrawal is not encouraged during a time period when you are actively employed. Instead, it is advised to seek PF transfers when you switch between organizations, that is, when changing the job.

EPF Claim Forms: Know the Various Types
Here is a list of Provident Fund (PF) forms available at EPFO for varying claim processes:
- Form 19: This form is to be used when there is final settlement of the funds account by a member.
- Form 10C: This form 10C can be used and filled in order to make a claim for the Scheme Certificate or Withdrawal Benefit that are attainable as per the Employees' Pension Scheme '95.
- Form 10D: This EPF claim form is used for pension claims.
- Form 20: Form 20 is used when a legal heir or nominee needs to make a claim upon the death of the member.
- Form 5IF: This form helps claim assurance benefit given as per the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance '76 by a member's legal heir or nominee.
- Form 31: It can be filled/used to claim advance/temporary withdrawal that's applicable as per the Employees' Provident Scheme '52.
- Form 13: Form 13 can be used to transfer PF or pension between accounts.
- Form 14: Form 14 helps finance a life insurance policy using the PF account.
PF Forms: To Make EPF Withdrawal
- Form 13 submission is required to transfer PF account from an old employer to a new one.
- Form 10D, if 10 years' employment is complete
- Form 10C, if 10 years' employment is not complete by the age of 58 years
- Required submission of forms for currently unemployed PF subscribers:
- Details on Form Submission for those unemployed due to disability PF subscriber
- Form Submission for Deceased PF Subscriber
