Bank Aadhaar Updation/Registration/Enrolment Centres
Aadhaar Card, 12-digit biometric Unique Identification Card, is a government-issued document which gives you a unique identification of being an Indian citizen. It acts as a proof of identity and a proof of address. Almost all Public and Private Banks carry out aadhaar enrolment and updation activities through their authorised branches across the country.
For this purpose, banks have already opened over 13,000 centres and will keep opening more centres, depending on the need.
The Aadhaar services like Aadhaar enrolment and mandatory biometrics update at the age of 5 years and 15 years will be offered "free of cost".
You can either download the aadhaar enrolment/ updation form online or obtain it at the enrolment centre. You are required to fill in all the particulars in this form and also need to attach the proof of identity, address and age to the form. After that your fingerprints and iris scan will be recorded and your photograph is also taken which will be printed on your aadhaar card.
Any other demographic update can be done at the banks centres at a cost of Rs.50 per update. These updates include Address, Mobile number, Name, Gender, Date of birth and Email id.
Further, any biometric update can be done at the banks centres at a cost of Rs.50 per update. These updates include Facial photograph and Finger print.
You can check the status of aadhaar biometrics by logging in to your account through the mAadhaar app.You can also check it by visiting UIDAI's website and login to your account using your aadhaar and OTP.
It is important to remember that you should always carry original supporting documents to the centre while enrolling for aadhaar or updating your aadhaar details. All such documents will be verified at the Centre.
