Documents Required for PAN Card for Minor

Following documents need to be given along with the PAN card application form for a minor child:

(1) Proof of Age to apply for PAN Card for minor: (Any one of the following)

• Municipal birth certificate
• Aadhaar card
• Mark sheet issued by recognised educational board
• Passport
• Driving licence
• Voter ID card
• Central government issued photo ID card

(2) Proof of Address to apply for PAN Card for a Minor: (Any one of the following)

• Aadhaar card
• Passport
• Voter ID card
• Domicile certificate issued by a state government
• Post office passbook mentioning the applicant's address
• Property document
• Electricity/landline/water/consumer gas bill (not over 3 months old)
• Account statement (not over 3 months old)

(3) Proof of identity to apply for PAN Card for Minor: (Any one of the following)

• Aadhaar card
• Passport
• Ration card having photo
• Government-issued photo ID card
• Driving licence
• Voter ID card
• Original bank certificate on official letterhead along with photograph from issuing bank branch, attested by a bank officer

(4) Coloured Photograph

Two coloured photographs of minorneed to be affixed on the PAN application form. It is to not that the photo of the minor will not appear on the PAN Card as there will be several physical changes in a minor during the course of time hence in the space provided for photograph on the PAN Card, the word "Minor" would be written.
