PAN card can be link with Aadhaar card by follwing three methods:
Method (1) Linking of Aadhaar with PAN without logging in to your account
- Go to www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
- Click on the link on the left pane "Link Aadhaar"
- Enter your PAN and Aadhaar Number in the space provided. Name must be exactly the same as it is there on your Aadhaar card
- Click on submit
- UIDAI will verify these details and will then confirm the linking of Aadhaar with PAN
Method (2) Linking of Aadhaar with PAN by logging in to your account
- Log in to the e-Filing portal of the Income Tax Department through your login credentials
- Go to the top menu bar "Profile Settings" and click
- Select "Link Aadhaar" from the drop down list
- A pop-up window may also appear prompting you to link your Aadhaar card with your PAN card
- A screen will appear showing details such as name, date of birth and gender
- Verify the details once
- Enter your Aadhaar number
- Enter "captcha code"
- Click on the "Link now" button
- A pop-up window will appear showing that your Aadhaar number has been successfully linked to your PAN card
Method (3) Linking of Aadhaar Number and PAN through SMS
SMS UIDPAN<SPACE><12 digit Aadhaar><Space><10 digit PAN> to either 567678 or 56161
