Umang app offered by the government provides more than 300 government services to public. Following services are offered by UMANG app related to PAN card:

• Apply for new PAN Card by filling up form 49A using UMANG App
• Pay required fee for issuance of PAN card using UMANG App
• Track your new PAN card application status via your application or PAN card number
• Make changes in name, address, date of birth and father's name on your PAN card by filling up Change Request Form or CSF using UMANG App
• Track your CSF application status via your application or PAN card number
• Pay required fee for change of any details on your PAN card using UMANG App

How to Apply for PAN Card using UMANG App?

1. First you must have UMANG app installed on your mobile. Then you can apply for a new PAN card application form via Umang app, using Form 49A.
2. If you do not have UMANG app on your mobile then you can find the UMANG app on your Play Store (android) or the App Store (iOS).
3. Download the UMANG app and install the same on your mobile. It is to be kept in mind that your mobile number should be registered with Aadhaar to avail the e-KYC and e-sign service.
4. Go to 'All Services' and search for My PAN option.
5. Click on 'New PAN Card'
6. Select 'e-KYC'.
7. After selecting 'e-KYC', read the guidelines and press proceed button.
8. Fill in your personal details as required by them. These details must be same as per your Aadhaar details.
9. You can choose Aadhaar as your proof of residence, identity and the same picture for the PAN card display.
10. On completion of the e-KYC and e-sign, it will ask to pay the PAN application fee.
11. You can pay this fee online using credit card, debit card or net banking.
12. On successful payment, your PAN application will be processed.
13. You can also track the movement of your PAN Card using the 'PAN Query' option on My PAN.
